I stand corrected. As I review this information, I discover my father, Jerome Fitzpatrick, was aboard an LCT, (6) 991, under O-in C Ens Donald D. Powelson. Fascinating to go through all of this.

I am looking for information regarding my father, Jerome Fitzpatrick, an ensign I believe to have been assigned as a Prospective Officer-in-Charge of LCT(6)991, under O-in-C Ens, Donald D. Powelson. He has left behind photos, correspondance and some writings, of which I have much interest. His birth name is Louis J. Fitzpatrick Jr., and was a graduate from Marquette University's NROTC program in February 1945.
